  • Establishes departmental implementation guidelines regarding lateral transfers, vertical transfers, double majors, and course exemptions.
  • Regulates the academic placement and course exemptions for students transferring horizontally or vertically between institutions or within the same institution, as well as those pursuing a double major.
  • It identifies the equivalents in our department for courses that students have previously passed at any higher education institution and converts the grades for courses deemed eligible for credit transfer.
  • It reviews the files related to the academic placement of students transferring horizontally or vertically.
  • It processes the academic adjustments for students admitted under an amnesty.

  • Conducts a satisfaction survey at least once a year, administering it separately to each class, and reports the results.
  • Works to improve advisory services.

  • Ensures that advisor-student meetings are held at the beginning of each semester and that minutes are prepared for these meetings.
  • It maintains and reports statistics on students enrolled in our department (student scores, percentile rankings, number of admitted students, changes in these figures over the years, number of graduates, etc.).
  • Holds meetings with student representatives, class representatives, and/or students to identify problems both inside and outside the classroom and takes action to resolve them.
  • At the end of the academic year, the Office carries out the tasks required for the graduation ceremony.
