Undergraduate students who are unable to add a course due to scheduling conflicts or other reasons must submit the KOM | E-Petition for Course Add/Drop Due to Extenuating Circumstances by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23. Requests submitted via email or in person will not be accepted. If multiple e-requests are submitted, any previously submitted e-requests will be deemed invalid, and only the most recently submitted e-request will be considered valid.
Pursuant to Paragraph 4 of Article 7 in Section 2 of the Course Registration Regulations, it is possible to add a maximum of one overlapping course via an e-petition.
For overlapping courses, the following principles apply depending on whether the course has been taken previously:
- If two practical courses conflict, they cannot be taken simultaneously, regardless of whether they have been taken previously.
- If one course is a practical course and the other is a theoretical course, these courses may be taken together only if the theoretical course has been taken previously and a passing grade (other than F0) was earned.
- If two theoretical courses overlap, these courses may be taken provided that at least one of them has a passing grade other than F0.
- Students who meet the conditions in paragraphs 2 and 3 of this section may take one of the courses through the student information system and the other by decision of the faculty administrative board, but only once per semester.
